Amrit Basra is an independent Punjabi artist, singer, lyricist, and composer who is rapidly redefining the landscape of Desi Hip-Hop and Punjabi Pop. Born Amritpal Singh in Punjab, India, he brings an authentic voice to the industry, blending the raw energy of street hip-hop with the melodic richness of traditional Punjabi folk.
Unsigned and unapologetically independent, Amrit has built his career on his own terms. His breakthrough came with the viral success of Naare Ni (Slowed + Reverb), which exploded on TikTok, generating over 25,000 user-created videos and cementing his status as a rising star to watch. Unlike artists who rely on major label backing, Amrit’s growth is organic, driven by a loyal fanbase that connects with his storytelling and unique sound.
His discography showcases his versatility across genres. Tracks like Killa Mode and Bag and Guns deliver hard-hitting rap flows, while songs like Nazar Hattdi and Tell Me Why explore more melodic, Afro-fusion influences.
